Story, Structure & in Between

Meg Gatterman, Creative Professional in Salem, Massachusetts

We’re creatives with roots in illustration, storytelling, and visual communication who have come together around a shared interest in how images can hold narrative, place, and feeling.

Meg Gatterman is a MassArt Illustration alumna who spent the past decade freelancing across traditional illustration before branching into social media and content design. She has a background in marketing, but Pinehouse Press is a return to earlier passions—illustration, folklore, and the kind of storytelling that builds its own world over time.

Andy Stoltz is a New Hampshire Institute of Art Illustration alumnus with a deep interest in maps and stories. That became the starting point for this collaboration. As a technical illustrator, he specializes in clarity and precision—translating complex ideas into visual systems that feel readable, grounded, and intentional.

Together, we balance narrative and structure, working between expressive storytelling and clean visual logic. Most projects sit somewhere in that space: where information becomes image, and image becomes story.
